Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan has been at the pinnacle of the Hindi film industry for three decades. With his prolific performances, he has carved a niche for himself as Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood. In a recent interview, Aamir has shared his thoughts on end credit scene of Pathaan featuring Shah Rukh and Salman Khan. He also emphasised that it’s not just the three of them who have survived for over 30 years in the industry, but also actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and others, who have significantly shaped Hindi cinema over this period.

Aamir Khan was asked about his reaction to the post-credit scene in Pathaan, where Shah Rukh Khan’s character tells Salman Khan, “Hume hi karna padega bhai, desh ka sawaal hai, baccho pe nahi chood sakte. (We will have to do it, brother; it’s a matter of country, and we can’t leave it to kids.)” This was perceived as a sarcastic dig at the young actors in Bollywood.

Reacting to it, Aamir said, “I have found the scene really funny. I have not seen that film but I have seen that scene. You get clips nowadays on Instagram and all that so I ended up seeing that scene it’s quite funny.” He continued, “Shah Rukh and Salman (laughs)! I think all the young actors must have got really upset and you can’t even get too upset with Shah Rukh and Salman. Kya keh sakte hai (What can you say)?” His ex-wife Kiran added, “They must have enjoyed it.”
Aamir Khan was asked about how he along with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have been the top actors and what the way is forward for them. Aamir clarified, “First of all, I have to say that it’s not just Salman, Shah Rukh and I who have lasted 35 years. There’s Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Mr Amitabh Bachchan and many actors who have been with us.”

Workwise, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, released in 2022. The film also starred Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and others. He is now gearing up for his forthcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par. Following the popularity of Taare Zameen Par, which investigated the world of dyslexia, the latest film focuses on Down syndrome.
